CSA
A bag of fresh veggies will be available to members from the first weekend in May to the first weekend in October. One share gives you 30$ worth of your choice of vegetables from our Farm Store each week. These shares can be picked up at Valley Roots Farm on Thursdays from 4 PM- 7 PM. There are no substitutions or alternative pickup days. Produce choice is limited to vegetables.
Price for a single 23-week full share is $550 - paid by April 1st, 2020
Price for a single 23-week half share is $290 – paid by April 1st, 2020
Our vegetables
First off, we take care of our soil, so our soil takes care of us! We use compost and aged poultry litter for fertilizers. We use tarps, flame weeders, mulch and hand weeding to suppress weeds. We rotate our crops to outsmart soil diseases. And finally we use floating row cover and crops with short days to maturity to out flank the pests (flea beetles - UGH!). Elliot Coleman, JM Fortier, Conor Crickmore, and Curtis Stone are our growing gurus.
